SARA "LOU" LOUISE HILLIARD, 79, passed from this life on January 19, 2018 in Little Rock. A daughter of the late Ed and Lois Collins, she was born on September 7, 1938 in Elaine, Arkansas. She was raised in the Monroe County community known as Ragtown, but spent much of her time in Clarendon. She lived life to its fullest and traveled across the country many times. In former years, Lou worked as a cosmetologist and in leisure times, she very much enjoyed creating beautiful things through the art of painting. To be near family she lived in Maumelle and was very loving in her role as mother and grandmother. She attended Cedar Heights Baptist Church in North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James "Son" Collins; one sister, Nora Hardy; husbands, Franklin Malone and Everett "Blackie" Hilliard, Sr. Remaining immediate family includes three children, Jerry Wayne Malone, Rhonda Black (Steve), Everett "Chip" Hilliard, Jr. (Brenda), one brother, Jerry Collins (Elizabeth), two sisters, Doris Adams, Anita Gorden (Vance), 5 grandchildren, Jason Parham (Cari Jo), Bryan Black (Lawanna), Jenny Bryant (Josh), Drake and Emmy Hilliard, seven great-grandchildren, Dillon, Sean, Bryan, Donivan, Chloe, Jake and Kera. Funeral services were held Monday, January 22, at the Bob Neal & Sons Funeral Home in Clarendon with interment in Franks Cemetery.
