Robin Rowan Allen

Robin Rowan Allen of Prattsvile, Arkansas was born May 14, 1952 in Camden, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Murray Rowan and Annalee Mitchell Rowan. She was an active member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville, where she sang in the choir and played hand bells. Robin enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting, cooking, and baking, especially chocolate chip cookies for her family. She loved to attend sporting events that her grandchildren were involved in and watching the Razorbacks play. She was a very strong woman who with the help of her large, close family, raised 6 precious children after her husband Frank died. She was a devoted and compassionate RN, who cared for and ministered to each patient she saw. She worked in CCU at Saline Memorial Hospital for 10 years and in 1991 went to work for Dr. Bruce Murphy at Little Rock Cardiology Clinic, which then merged with Arkansas Heart Hospital. Robin died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Saline Memorial Hospice in Bryant at the age of 65. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Allen. She is survived by her children and their spouses, John and Shelly Allen of Prattsville, Jamey and Sara Allen of Prattsville; Abana and Mike Nevens of Prattsville, Hope and Dylon Worsham of Little Rock, Sarah Beth and James Lane of Little Rock, DeMee and Adam Williams of East End; brother, Jim Rowan and wife Regina of Ashville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Alaina, Grayson and Thatcher Allen, Sierra and Marissa Nevens, Kylee and Kaden Allen, Coy Williams, Kennedy Worsham on the way and a host of nieces, nephews, co-workers, patients, church family and friends. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. Pat Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 37, Prattsville, Arkansas 72129. Pallbearers will be John Allen, Jamey Allen, James Lane, Mike Nevens, Dylon Worsham, and Adam Williams.
