Johnie Ray Wilson

Johnie Ray Wilson, age 64, of Lonoke, Ark., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. Johnie was born Aug. 25, 1953 to Patsy Lilly Wilson and the late Thomas Ray Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Nita Benafield Wilson; daughters, Alison (Tim) Huskey of Jacksonville, Ark., and Lindsey (Parker) Smith of Beebe, Ark.; grandchildren Chase, Brandon, Chelsie, and Emily Huskey, and Peyton, and Camryn Smith; his mother, Patsy Lilly Wilson, two sisters, Nancy (Tim) Lassiter, and Patti (Todd) Cline; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends and one brother, Michael (Betty) Wilson. Johnie attended the Arkansas School for the Deaf until he went to work on the Winrock and Wilson family farm. After retirement from farming, his passion became running his lawn care business. He also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his six grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 3 at Boyd Funeral Home, Lonoke.
