Juanita McNeely, 91, of Maumelle passed away in peace on Monday, January 8, 2018 with her family by her side. Juanita "Nita" loved gardening and threw her energies into raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved time spent with many dear nieces and nephews. She was nearly a lifelong Navy wife, visiting many different places, Hawaii being one of her favorites. She is survived by her grandsons, Christopher Ray (Shannon) and Stephan Wayne McNeely; great-grandchildren, Heather McNeely Harris (Dane), C.J. McNeely, Jade McNeely and Gabriel McNeely; sister, Reba Rollon; and devoted family member and dear friend, Cheri McNeely. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Ray McNeely, Master CPO of United States Navy and Retired Pearl Harbor survivor; her sons, Daniel Leon McNeely and Wayne Ray McNeely; her parents, Robert and Gertrude Boshears; her sisters, Jacqueline Satterfield and Vivia Burnett; and her brothers, Chester Boshears and Vermon Boshears. The family wishes to thank Mollie and Jackie of Arkansas Hospice who cared for Nita with skill and compassion.
