Evelyn Mae "Annis" Darnell

Evelyn Mae "Annis" Darnell born April 26, 1923, departed this life on January 13, 2018, to join the angels in heaven. Patiently waiting to welcome her will be her husband, Richard Lilburn Darnell, her father Lyle Jasper Annis and her mother Alta Lee "Enos" Annis. Left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her loving family members. A brother, Charles Lyle Annis of Kansas City, Missouri, her son's, Lyle Richard Darnell of Ozark, Arkansas and Lawrence Dean Darnell of Dickinson, Texas and her daughter Linda Lee West of Springdale, Arkansas. Her loving grandchildren, Jimmy Richard Jones of Plain City, Utah, Patrick Lee Jones of Eucha, Oklahoma, Tressa Kay Wood of Dallas, Texas, Johnny Richard Darnell of Liberty, Missouri as well as her special great-grandchildren, Kirsten Nelson of Ogden, Utah, Katie Tennant of Plain City, Utah, Logan Jones of Wichita, Kansas, Leah Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Michelle Grissam of Kansas City, Missouri, Saundra Darnell of Kansas City, Missouri, and ten extra special great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Springdale. Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper, retiring from Harps Food Stores in Springdale. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #2952, the American Legion Auxiliary #139 of Springdale and the Disabled Americans Veterans Auxiliary #3 of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a member of the Military Order of the Cootie #1 of Little Rock, Arkansas. She volunteered for 42 years at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville with over 11,000 hours of service. Funeral services will be Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Danny Redding officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. Visitation will be Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Veterans from various volunteer organizations. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
