Dorothy Dayer "Dot Dot" Hartje

Dorothy Dayer "Dot Dot" Hartje, age 83 peacefully passed away on January 16, 2018. Born in Conway, she was the youngest of three daughters born to Louis P. Dayer and Josephine Troillett Dayer. A lifelong Conway resident she attended St Joseph Catholic school, graduated from Mount St. Mary's in Little Rock and attended Webster Grove College in St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Michael E. Hartje and is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Prior to establishing Conway Travel Gallery in 1987. Dorothy was president and a lifetime member of Conway Junior Auxiliary. She also loved playing bridge but traveling and more especially taking cruises was her passion for 26 years that she owned and operated Conway Travel Gallery. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jeannette Worm. She is survived by her sister Mildred Walling of Houston, Texas, her children, Laura Gladwin (Bob), Lisa George and Mike E. Hartje, Jr of North Little Rock and Melinda Marston (Otis) of San Marino, Calif., her grandchildre,n Katie Hahn of Alexandria, Va., Carter Rook (Brita) of Little Rock, Annie Deramus (Jeremy) of Conway, Josie Richardson (Victor) of North Little Rock, Ike George of Destin, Fla., Emma, Jace and Erin Hartje of North Little Rock and Katherine and Cole Marson of San Marino, Calif. and her great-grandchildren, Henry Richardson, John David Deacon and Wesley Rook. A special thank you to Melissa Hight and her staff. Visitation and Rosary will be held Thursday January 18, 2018, 6-8 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral Home. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2 pm, with private burial to follow. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Arkansas.
