Jonathan Isaac Hartley

Jonathan Isaac Hartley, age 34, of Monticello, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. Born July 23, 1983 at Little Rock, he was the only child of Andrea Stanley Hartley of Hunter, Ark. and the late John Charles Hartley. He was reared and educated in the Pine Bluff area and graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 2001. Jonathan furthered his education at the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he earned and Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Forestry. He worked in the School on Forest Resources at UAM for a number of years prior to joining the Arkansas Forestry Commission three years ago. He was an Arkansas Registered Forester. Jonathan loved being outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Jolene Ellison Hartley, whom he married on June 3, 2006; and his mother, Andrea Stanley Hartley. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 19, 2018, 10 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel in Pine Bluff with Brother Wade Totty officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery at Rison. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Jonathan was the recipient of a new kidney in 2012.
