JOHN F. "JACK" O'KEEFE SR., of Little Rock, passed away on Jan. 19. He was born on Feb. 23, 1939, in Derby, Conn., to John J. and Margaret O'Keefe. He is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years and best friend, June, and sons Jack Jr. (Susan) of Augusta, Ga.; Rick (Becca) of Little Rock, Ark., grandchildren Lucy, John Freeman, Henry, and Hogan O'Keefe of Augusta, Ga., and nephews, David and Brian Mowrey of Connecticut. Jack Sr., graduated from Bentley College in Boston, Mass. He was a financial analyst for Timex Corporation (29 years) and Babcock and Wilcox Incorporated (five years). Jack Sr., enjoyed his 19 years of retirement working at Eagle Hill Golf and Athletic Club. The family would like to thank the UAMS Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy for their exceptional care in treating Jack Sr., for the past 13 years. Special thanks to Dr. F. vanRhee, Diane, Kristen and the staff on the eighth floor clinic; doctors, nurses and staff on Infusion four; Dr. A. Mitma and the nurses and staff on F7 and H7. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the UAMS Myeloma Institute for Research and Therapy, 4301 W. Markham St., Little Rock, Ark., 72205, or the ASGA Junior Golf and Scholarship Program, P.O. Box 30250, Little Rock, Ark., 72260. A visitation will be held at Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, 72211 on Monday, Jan. 22 from 5-6:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service.
