Arthur "Tinker" Green

Arthur Franklin "Tinker" Green Sr., 74 of Benton, passed away on January 22, 2018. He was born on September 15, 1943 to the late Leo Edward and Mildred Roberts Green. Tinker graduated from Bryant High School in 1962. He was the owner of Benton Packing Company. Tinker was an avid golfer, was the Arkansas Champion Drag Racer multiple times and owned the "Badest" Ford in Arkansas. Tinker was preceded in death by the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Janette Green. He leaves to cherish is memory, son, Artie (Dallas) Green of Alexander, daughter, Tracie (Brian) Rich of Alexander, brother, Don (Bonnie) Green of Cabot, grandchildren, Tyler Green, Kruse Rich, Lucas Ward, Brody Rich, Corley Ward and Piper Green, great-grandson, Mattox Ward. Pallbearers will be Luke Green, Mark Green, Tyler Green, Kruse Rich, Lucas Ward and Brody Rich. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ashbys with Bro. Kim Hammer officiating. Burial will follow at New Summitt Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Ashbys. The family request that everyone attending the services wear green.
