Eunice Armelia Francis Hollinger Mooney of Prattsville, Arkansas was born March 29, 1921 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Nancy Roberts Hollinger. She was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville, where she served her Lord faithfully by teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, and working crossword puzzles. She dearly loved each child in her neighborhood and babysat most of them. Ms. Mooney went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 96. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Mooney; brothers, Dennis, Bernice, Charles and Ralph Hollinger; sisters, Joann Walters, Lois Pearson, and Floy Mae Sproul. Survivors: sons, Randy and wife Kalinda Mooney of Sheridan, Robert Earl and wife Sherry Mooney of Prattsville; daughter, Beth and husband Chuck Fowler of Prattsville; brother, Russell and wife Lynda Hollinger of Prattsville; sister, Orene Caple of Sardis; sisters-in-law, Mildred Hollinger of Malvern, Sue Hollinger of Sheridan; grandchildren, Leah and Lance Wallingsford, Carla and Casey Marsh, Jennifer and Alan Gibbs, Amanda and Jason McCall, Robert and Bethany Mooney, P.J. and Rachel Mooney, Jeremy and Crystal Threlkeld, Nick Threlkeld, Andrea and Matt Nelson, Buddy and Allie Fowler, Cassandra and Michael Sanchez; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2018 at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville with Bro. Don Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Harold Holiman, Randy Buie, Barry Hollinger, David Bean, Danny Reynolds, Doug Hollinger, Jeff Goodman, and Ron Hurst. Honorary pallbearer is Ronald Holiman.
