William "Clay" Clayton McKinney

William "Clay" Clayton McKinney, 46, of Fort Smith, passed away January 27,2018 in Fort Smith. He was born December 30, 1971 to William and Martha (Mc Common) McKinney in Memphis, Tennessee. Clay was a 1995 graduate of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He worked for many years as a Commercial Loan Officer at Simmons First National Bank and then owned and operated Insight Infrared Inspections. Two daughters, Lauren and Emily, as well as their mother, Marcie, all of Fort Smith and his mother and her husband, Martha and Jerry Hankins of Springdale, Arkansas, survive Clay. His father, William Lewis McKinney, preceded him in death. The family will greet friends at a Celebration of Life reception from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, with a private family burial at Oak Cemetery immediately following. Services and cremation are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
