Darlene Cree

Darlene Cree, age 89, of Morrilton, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018. he was born February 27, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas, a daughter of the late Ray W. Hinds and the late Grace Powers Hinds. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart Alter Society, Adelaide Club, and Morrilton Citizen of the Year. She was a volunteer for the Conway County Library for over 40 years and the Conway County Care Center. She was also the founder of the children's art exhibits for the Conway County Fair. Survivors include three sons: Paul Cree and wife Karen, David Cree and wife Judy, and Michael Cree all of Morrilton; two grandchildren: Danielle Reel and Jessica Keaton; and five great-grandchildren: Kase Reel, Kennedy Reel, Kamryn Reel, Wyleigh Keaton, and Weston Keaton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William John Cree Jr.; sister: Donna Hinds Thompson; and great-grandson: Will Keaton. Funeral Mass will be 10: a.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Vigil service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Harris Chapel with visitation following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Capitol Endowment Fund, Conway County Library, or the Conway County Care Center.
