Wayne Arlin Mahfouz

Wayne Arlin Mahfouz, 77, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018. Wayne was born in Dermott, Ark., on Oct. 1, 1940 to the late Albert and June Dunn Mahfouz. He was a 1959 graduate of Dermott High School where he ran track. He retired from the Chicago Transit Authority after twenty five years. He loved to travel and dance and he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lisa Buckner and infant brother Christopher Mahfouz. Survivors include his sons Richard Mahfouz and Christopher Mahfouz; brothers, Ronnie Mahfouz of Monticello, Ark., and Michael (Ines) Mahfouz of Maumelle, Ark.; sisters, Virginia (Al) Robertson and Jennifer (Bob) Keahey of Pine Bluff, Ark. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service in McGehee, Ark. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kenny Culpepper officiating with burial to follow at Dermott cemetery.
