William "Bill" Allen

William "Bill" Allen, 62, died in a motorcycle accident on June 17, 2018 in North Little Rock, Ark. Bill was born on January 1, 1956 in Birmingham, Ala. to Jim and Pat Allen. To quote from his autobiography "Speed Trap", "Bill earned wisdom the hardest way imaginable, by breaking many of the cardinal rules of civil society." He was passionate about sharing his life story in hopes of helping others. It's not everyone who takes advantage of second chances, but Bill made his second act one that made his family proud, beginning with re-marrying the love of his life, Debbie, and living these past six years to the fullest by making lasting memories with his family and friends--especially his grandson, Beau. Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Pat Allen and his brother, James P. Allen. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Allen; father, Jim Allen; brother, John Allen (Dale); sister, Ann Denny; sister-in-law, Mona Allen; step-daughter, Amanda Dewitt (Dan); grandson, Beau Dewitt; and granddaughter, Ellie Dewitt; and many adored nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 72114 followed by a celebration of his life at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
