Alma Jean Rooks

ALMA JEAN ROOKS, age 87, of North Little Rock, passed away June 21, 2018. She was born in Denmark, Ark., to Ruby J. Fritts Ransom and Guy Robert Ransom. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Ernest G. Rooks, five sisters, Leslie Grise, Opal Belcher, Gwen Freeman, Mabel Cannon, and Zeda Hollowell and by a great-grandson, Jaxson Tyler Green. Alma Jean was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by two children, Ernest G. Rooks, Jr. and Deborah K. Rooks Green; two grandchildren, Guy W. Green and wife Katherine, and Justin W. Green; and by two great-grandsons, Colton Allen and Drake Alston. Visitation will be Monday, June 25, from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service on Tuesday, June 26, at 10 a.m., both at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock.
