Donald Lynn Melton

Donald Lynn Melton, 62, of Austin, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. Don was an engineer/crew supervisor with the Little Rock Port Authority Railroad, as well as a deacon and greeter at First Baptist Church of Cabot. He was not only a devoted servant of God, but a loving husband, father, and poppa. He loved his family, helping others, and hunting. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Sue Melton. Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marla Acree Melton; his children, Daniel (Laura) Melton of Cabot, and Joanna (Jason) Hanna of Ward; siblings, James (Rebecca) Melton Jr. of North Little Rock, and Donna (Darryl) Creasy of Lonsdale; his grandchildren, Emilia and Annelise Melton, Noah and Molly Beth Hanna; his father, James Melton of North Little Rock, and his mother-in-law, Betty Acree Johnson of Cabot. Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Cabot.
