Alvin Odell Johnson, 74, of Cabot died Wednesday, March 7, 2018. He was born March 18, 1943 in Little Rock to the late Clint Odell and Vivian Ione Henry Johnson. Mr. Johnson attended Change Point Church. He worked as an automotive mechanic and most recently owned and operated his own shop before retiring in December 2015. Mr. Johnson was a hardworking, kind and generous man. He was a man of integrity who was beloved by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Gonzalez; nieces, Stacy and Debbie Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 37 years, Ericka Hall Johnson; children, Shella Johnson of Long Beach, California and David Johnson of Austin, Arkansas; granddaughter, Aaliyah Johnson; siblings, Kenneth Johnson (Wanda) and Beverly Johnson, both of Cabot, Bonnie Johnson and Janet Wilson, both of Benton and Norman Ostrom (David) of Oklahoma as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 in the chapel of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan King officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
