Mima Lou (Haynes) Robinson, age 90, a longtime resident of Rogers, passed quietly from this life on January 28, 2018, at the Army Residence Community in San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luke Robinson, in 2014; also by her parents C.E. and Cora Bell (Long) Haynes, brothers Ralph, Howard, C.E. Jr., Norwood, and Joe Haynes, and many others, including her beloved cousin Lucy (Loveless) Pruitt of Iuka, MS. Mima Lou graduated with honors in 1946 from Haleyville High School in Haleyville AL and in 1949 from the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Birmingham AL and enjoyed her career as a nurse before marrying Luke in 1955. They moved to San Antonio in 2007 after a long retirement in Albuquerque NM and Rogers AR following Luke's career as a dentist in private practice in Iuka MS and in the Air Force. She is survived by daughter Patti (Robinson) Bingham and son-in-law Bryan of Albuquerque, son Wade Robinson and daughter-in-law Theresa of Arlington TX, and son Rex Robinson of Albuquerque, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two nieces, and two nephews. Mima Lou was a loving daughter and sister, dearly beloved wife, delightful mother, and charming friend. She was a smart, sweet, and funny woman. She was a faithful Christian, an avid reader, a talented gardener, and a reluctant but wonderful cook. She had the knack of making friends wherever she went, and she will be remembered with affection by all who knew her.
