Kenneth Elmer Brewton

Kenneth Elmer "Kenny" Brewton, age 59, of Star City, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Born September 26, 1958 at Pine Bluff, he was a son of Elmer Nelson Brewton, Jr. of Pine Bluff and the late Ima Jean Regions Brewton. He graduated from Watson Chapel High School in 1976. Kenny worked in several paper mills as a pipefitter and in maintenance. He worked for Delta Natural Kraft for ten years, and retired as maintenance supervisor in 2010. He was a member of Matthews Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, and spending time with his grandchildren. Kenny was also preceded in death by a son, Kyle Nelson Brewton; his mother, Ima Jean Regions Brewton; paternal grandparents, Elmer Nelson Brewton, Sr. and Bertha Warren Brewton; maternal grandparents, W.D. "Bill" Regions and Ora Regions; and two siblings, Richard Nelson Brewton and Mary Ann Rose. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Ruth Boyd Brewton, whom he married on July 7, 2009 at Star City; children, Zachary Farley (Karen), Amanda Beckham (Robbie), and Joshua Chandler (Chachi); a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Brewton Gray (Thomas); his father, Elmer Brewton; stepmother, Jerry Brewton; sisters, Nancy Gathright, Cheri Richards, and Patti Priest; and 12 grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Friday, March 16, 2018, 10 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Chapel with Reverend James Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Good Faith Cemetery.
