Joseph Spradley

Joseph Andy Spradley, 71, known to friends as Joe, passed away on February 26, 2018, at the Little Rock Veterans Hospital. Joe was born April 15, 1946, in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Andy and Elizabeth Meeks Spradley. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Joe attended Pulaski Heights Elementary and Junior High and graduated from Hall High School. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. From his early years and throughout his life, Joe loved all things outdoors. He hunted, fished, hiked, mountain climbed, and trekked many of the world's beautiful places with friends. He inspired and instructed others along the way. It was this passion for the outdoors that led his founding of Ozark Outdoor Supply retail store in Little Rock. Joe is survived by one sister, Lillian Andra Spradley Dougan, of Springdale, Ark., and one daughter, Kimberly Lemma and granddaughter, Cristiana Lemma, of Voorhees, New Jersey; nieces Beth Calhoun (Chip) of Des Arc, Ark., Carol Lipsmeyer of Fayetteville, Ark., Sue Dougan of Little Rock, Ark., and Sarah Dougan of Austin, Texas; a nephew Chuck Dougan of Des Arc, Ark.; and first cousins, Jim Spradley (Carolyn) of Little Rock, Ark., Tom Spradley (Linda) of Baton Rouge, La., and Mark Spradley (Laura) of Little Rock, Ark. Joe will be interred at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, at 10:00 AM Friday, March 23, 2018. Online guestbook at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
