William Fredrick March, 81, of Conway, Ark., was called to his Eternal Home by our Risen Lord Jesus Christ, and given his crown of Life on the afternoon of March 26, 2018. He was born to William Fredrick Herman and Linda Marie Lillian (Dohrman) March on July 9, 1936, in Milwaukee, Wis., and was baptized into Christ on August 23, 1936. He served Jesus as a Lutheran teacher and principal, and as a witness of Jesus' love and forgiveness to all he met. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Valeria (Dallmann) March, and his two children, Tonya (John) Gierke of Conway, Ark., and Thad (Sharon) March of Moseley, Va. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters in Christ at: Christ Lutheran Church, West Bloomfield, Wis.; Zion Lutheran Church, Plainview, Neb.; Messiah Lutheran (especially his camping family), Ripon, Wis.; Messiah Lutheran, Memphis, Tenn.; and Peace Lutheran, Conway. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Elvera, and his son Thomas March. His family would like to thank the residents and staff at Heritage Living Center, and Kindred Hospice for their love and care. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Heritage, and on April 21 at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, provided by the pastoral staff of Peace. Bill wished that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or the donor's personal choice. His final words of witness he wanted to leave with family and friends are the words of Jesus: "Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life." (Revelation 2:10)
