Carolyn Jane Smith Ashcraft

Carolyn Jane Smith Ashcraft, age 77, of Warren, AR, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark. She was born October 28, 1940, in Sumpter, Ark., a daughter of the late Hollis Guy Smith and Gracie Pauline Forrest Smith. Carolyn was a retired seamstress for Jack Winter and LaDonna Sportswear and a member of Martin's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Arnold Ashcraft who died January 9, 2013, a brother, Harold Smith and a sister, Mary Jo Ashcraft. Survivors are one son Wayne Ashcraft of Warren, Ark.; three daughters, Brenda Payne of Rye, Ark., Bonnie Ashcraft of Warren, Ark., and Sharon Oelsen of Hermitage, Ark.; one sister, Earline Chapman of Forrest City, Ark.; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial is in Adams-Singer Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Frazer's.
