David Reed Brown, 79, of Maumelle, died May 13, 2018. Born September 7, 1938 in Little Rock, he was the son of William Edward Brown and Mava Reed Brown. He was a retired hydraulics engineer with the Corp of Engineers and was of the Presbyterian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 24 years, Ann Kit Peterson Brown, and his grandsons, Eric and Robert Brown. Left to celebrate his life are his beloved children, William David Brown and Laura Paige Brown Marroquin (Jesse Marroquin), and grandchildren, Ryan Elizabeth, Harrison Edward, Christopher David and Andrew Edward and his much loved step family, Susan Elizabeth (Tim Brown), William Robert Hicks (Quana), Debra Ann (Steve Pruitt), Scott Alan Esserine (Marie), Katrina Ann, Wayne Robert, William Ryan, Christopher Stephen, Cameron Ray, Samantha Nicole, Natalie Kay, Adam Scott, Jared Alan, Joseph Michael, Samuel Paul, 11 great-grandchildren and Cody the dog and Spunky the cat. He was a graduate of Central High School in Little Rock and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and was a lifelong Razorback sports fan. He served his country in the Air National Guard and was stationed in Japan on active duty. His passions were family, golf and playing trivia with friends and family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock (501) 661-9111 with Rev. Larry Ballard officiating.
