He is preceded in death by his son: Tony Gaines; parents Curtis and Nancy Gaines Sr. He leaves to cherish his memory: children: Doris Dickerson (Kevin), Peggy Brunson, Lora Williams (Raymond), Wonder Gaines, Lawrence Gaines (Terralyn), Tina Hussey Sr. (Lawrence) Sr., Ronnie Gaines Sr., Anthony Gaines, Tressa Perkins, Tamatrice Gaines, Farris Perkins Sr. (Cassandra), Willie Gaines Jr. (Alecia), siblings: Leatrice Withers, Beatrice Sanders, Shirley Wilson (Johnny), Alma Aaron ( Sonny), Doris Pippins, and Theodis Gaines, 39 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren, and a host family and friends.
