Jimmy Lee Blair, 82, of Pine Bluff passed away May 2, 2018. He was born in Pine Bluff on February 5, 1936 to the late Hilliard Chupin Blair and Mildred Burgess Blair. Jimmy was a 1954 graduate of Altheimer High School and went on to attend Arkansas State Teachers College (UCA) and University of Arkansas at Monticello. Mr. Blair served his country in The United States Army from 1955 through 1957. Jimmy was a farmer in Sherrill from 1957 to 2005. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a member of Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette, Arkansas and attended Trinity Lutheran Church. Jimmy was a life member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He served as president for the Arkansas Quarter Horse Association, president of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau, and served on the board of directors for Arkansas Gin Company. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Christine Elizabeth Rannenberg Blair, a baby girl, and a step grandson, Aaron Curry. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Tamara Blair Curry (Tommy) of Pine Bluff; son, Jimmy Lee Blair II of Jackson, Wyoming; granddaughter, Elizabeth Carraway of Rogers; step grandson John Curry of Fayetteville; two step great grandchildren; Judy Clinton of Pine Bluff, Sissy Cearley of Lowell and Teddy Rannenberg (Libby) of Greenbrier. A celebration of his life will take place at the home of his daughter, 4611 Thompson Drive in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Monday May 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Trinity Lutheran Church 4200 Old Warren Rd, Pine Bluff, Ark., 71603.
