Phyllis Jones

Phyllis Jones, 67, of Hamburg, died Friday, May 18, 2018, after a diligent five years battle with cancer. Mrs. Jones was a native and lifelong resident of Hamburg and a 1969 graduate of Hamburg High School. She was the owner and operator of Phyllis' Daycare for over 40 years. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Church Secretary, a Sunday School Teacher for many years and was active in the Ladies Auxiliary. She is preceded in death by her father, Bro. Charles Pullin, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William F. & Beatrice Jones. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Billy Jones of Hamburg; a daughter, Vanessa Gilliam and husband, Glenn, of Hot Springs; a son, Chuck Jones and wife, Michelle; her mother, Bobbie Judkins Pullin; a sister, Debbie McDonald and husband, Steve, all of Hamburg; she was Nana to her five granddaughters, Hanna Bennett, Gabby Gilliam, Kaci Jones, Karly Jones and Karoline Jones; several nieces, nephews, family friends and all of her kids that she kept for over four decades. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Micah Carter, Bro. Richard West and Bro. Joey Meredith officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the UAMS Multiple Myeloma Institute Development, 4301 W.
