Mary "Maxine" Creech-Morrison

Mary "Maxine" Creech-Morrison, age 88, a past resident of Rogers, Ark., passed away Monday, March 19, 2018, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born Sept. 16, 1929 in Bradley, Okla., the daughter of Clyde and Chloe Grimsley. Maxine and her first husband Bill Creech lived in Rogers, Ark., until their retirement in the 1980's. Creech owned and operated the Elegante Hair Salon in Rogers and The Rogers Beauty Academy for many years. She was a lifelong member of the PTA and was very active in this organization holding many offices while her children were in school. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing bridge and was known to be a competitive adversary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William "Bill" Creech, whom she had been married to for 60 years, son Phillip Creech and her second husband, Stewart Nelson Morrison. Survivors include her son, William "Mike" Creech and wife Charlotte; daughter Janet Hudgins and husband Mike; grandchildren, Michelle Creech, Thomas Stephen Linehan, II, Stephanie Lomme, Jonathan Hudgins and Kathryn Hudgins and 14 Great Grandchildren. Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark.
