SGT Adam David Wright, age 32, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord November 11, 2018 at Camp Casey, South Korea. Adam spent most of his days in Beebe, Arkansas, where he discovered his love for animals, martial arts, the guitar, and family and friends. Adam graduated from Beebe High School in May of 2005. He went on to further his education to obtain multiple associate degrees from Arkansas State University – Beebe and a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Military Science from Arkansas State University – Jonesboro. While attending college, Adam joined the ROTC program and enlisted in the Arkansas National Guard. Upon graduation he was commissioned as an officer on May 17, 2014. On July 24, 2017 Adam's life forever changed as he held his newborn daughter, Achele Alexandria Wright. In November 2017 he resigned his commission as first lieutenant in the Arkansas Army National Guard to go active Army with the desire to serve America in a foreign country. Adam was then deployed to Camp Casey, South Korea where he served as a multiple launch rocket system gunner. Adam's awards and decorations include: Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, and Arkansas Military Funeral Honors Service Ribbon (2). Adam is survived by his wife, Heather Wright and daughter, Achele Alexandria Wright of Austin; grandfather, Allen McIntyre of Cabot; mother, Leah (Scott) Kloss of Beebe; father, David (Jennifer) Wright of Salem, Ohio; special dad, George Moore of Beebe; brother, Seth Moore of Beebe; sisters, Marrisa (Brian) Morris of Salem, Ohio, Alyssa Wright of Salem, Ohio and, Maggie (Matt) Dent of Beebe; and a host of family and friends. Adam is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda McIntyre; and uncle, Eric McIntyre. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Project in SGT Adam D. Wright's honor. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
