Agnes Elaine Hietbrink

Agnes "Elaine" Hietbrink passed away September 5, 2018 at the age of 87. She was born to Henry A. and Bertha De Beer Jonker in Sanborn, Iowa on September 25, 1930. She graduated from Orange City, Iowa High School in 1947. She married Bernard E. Hietbrink on March 16, 1951. She was an Administrative Secretary at the South Dakota Art Museum retiring in 1992 and moved to Bella Vista in 1994. She was an accomplished seamstress and did fine needlework. With her husband, she visited all fifty states and many of the countries of the world. Elaine enjoyed music and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, the Chancel Choir, an ordained Elder and an active member of Presbyterian Women. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Arthur (Carolyn), brother-in-law, Kenneth Pluim, and son-in-law, Elgene Jacobs. She is survived by her husband Bernard, four children, Deanne Jacobs, Beth (Charles) Curry, Laura (Ross) Rames, Bernard D. (Melissa) Hietbrink, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother, Wilfred (Gertrude), sister, Faye Pluim, and brother, Terence (Jan). A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista under the direction of Pastor Dennis Ritchie on Monday, September 10th at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista's music fund.
