DARYL LOUIS PARKER was born on May 14, 1984 to Virginia A. Parker. He was the grandson of the late Rev. George E. Parker and Leatha Thomas Parker. Daryl suffered a brain stem stroke on Monday, Sept. 17 and departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 12:02 p.m. Daryl loved God and did not stray from his faith. He dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 6 at the Greater Center Star Baptist Church. He enjoyed sports, grilling and most of all, family. He loved his family and friends and cherished his time with them. Beneath his tough exterior was a big, protective teddy bear. He was a 2002 graduate of Central High School, where he played football for the Tigers. He was an avid Falcons, Carolina Tar Heels, Florida State Seminoles, and Boston Red Sox fan. Daryl attended the University of Central Arkansas and received a bachelor's degree from Strayer University. He was currently working on his master's degree and employed at Centene. Also preceding Daryl is his uncle, Henry E. Parker and special cousin, Derrick Harris Parker. Survived by his mother, Virginia; brother, Derrick L. Parker; nephews, D'eljay and Da'Mari Parker; aunts, Ora D. Parker, Queen Dubose (Ephane), Mary Jones (Raleigh), and Carritta G. Devlin; uncles, Calvin Parker, Louis Parker, George Parker (Theresa), Herbert Parker, and Lovell Parker (Connie); great uncle, Larry Thomas (Charlotte); Desmond L. Mack, who held a special place in Daryl's heart; and a host of close loving cousins, extended family and friends. Family visitation: Friday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Eighth St. Baptist Church, 821 Hickory St., North Little Rock, Ark., 72114.
