Floyd Gene Caldwell

FLOYD "GENE" CALDWELL, 90, of North Little Rock, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018. He was born September 23, 1927 to George and Clara (Sammons) Caldwell and was the youngest of nine children. Gene worked in the construction industry and was a master electrician. He was a Levy VFW Post member. Gene was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII, where he was a prisoner of war in the Philippines for 18 months. Gene is survived by his wife, Joyce Record Caldwell; three children, Richard "Clay" Caldwell (Linda), Karen Caldwell Livesay and Tammy Williams (Steve); four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two children, Clara and Billy Caldwell; and eight siblings. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2018, at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Online guest register at www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
