Sherrell Wayne Bolding

Sherrell Wayne Bolding, 82, of Searcy, died Wednesday, December 4, 2019. He was born February 9, 1937 in Judsonia a son of the late James Claude Arthur and Bessie Lavada (Dawson) Bolding. Wayne retired from the Arkansas Highway Department, Engineering Division, after 34 years of service. He was a very active and long-time member of the Highway Church of Christ in Judsonia. Mr. Bolding enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, taking them on four-wheeler and tractor rides as well as singing, tending to his cattle and cutting hay. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bolding; three children, Jackie Ann Ruscin (Nelson), Susan Kay Harper (Rick) and Lisa Renee Miller (Sam); two step-sons, Terry Rutherford (Candy) and Rob Rutherford; two sisters, Darlene Medford and Ann Phillips; five grandchildren, Derek Ruscin (Jennifer), Cara Ruscin, Jimmie Harper, Julie Ann Harper and Rachel Miller; four step-grandchildren, Tara Langston, Taylor Owens, Cydney Kimbrow and Caleb Kimbrow; two great-grandchildren, Ian and Kai Mitchell; two step-great-grandchildren, Lainey and Kip Langston. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann Bolding; daughter, Marilyn Bolding and seven siblings. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 6–8 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home. Services will be conducted on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Highway Church of Christ in Judsonia. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
