Marian Doris Huggins

Marian Doris Huggins, 88, passed away on February 10, 2019. Born September 4, 1930, Marian was the daughter of the late Oscar S. and Francis Nixon. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Frank H. Huggins Jr., and a brother, Donald Ray Nixon, of Conway. Most of Marian's life was spent in North Little Rock. She loved being a part of the North Little Rock School district and Gardner United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. After moving to Hot Springs, she and Frank were welcomed into the First United Methodist family. Marian also joined the Women's Welcome Club of Hot Springs, became an avid bridge player, and served two terms as president of the Garland County Republican Women; Marian was awarded lifetime membership for her dedication and service. Marian loved her country, lived life to the fullest, and felt very blessed to have three wonderful daughters, Donna Guenther (Stephen), Debi Cochran (George), and Dyan Prescott (Art); seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. During the last months of her life she was loved and well-cared for by Belvedere Nursing Home in Hot Springs. A Visitation will be held at Gross Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 16 with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Gallimore officiating.
