Wayne T. Wright

Wayne Thomas Wright went to be with Jesus Christ his Lord. He was born November 13, 1946 to the late Wallace Felder Wright and Catharin Lois Wright in Little Rock, Arkansas. As a boy he loved baseball and pitched for several teams. He received a Bachelor degree in English from the University of Arkansas in 1975. His life-long hobby was music, especially the Beatles; and he and his wife shared a love for Razorback sports and NASCAR. Wayne was a disabled Vietnam War Veteran retiring as an Air Force Tech Sergeant with 20 years of service, receiving commendation metals. He was a founding member of That Church, Sherwood and actively attended That Church, Cabot. Wayne was a 24 year member of the Arkansas Home Builders Association, served as a board member on the Associates Council, and was named Pulaski County Associate of the Year 1995. Wayne was preceded in death by his Brother, Wally (Debbie) Wright and is survived by his Wife of 53 years, Carolyn Brown Wright; son, Scott (Sarah) Wright; Grandson, Brooks Allen (Kayla) Wright; great-grandson, Camden Wright; sister-in-law, Danita (James) Hart; bonus Daughter, Lisa Wilson; nephews, Jeremy (Becky) Wright, Zach Groves, Drew and AJ Collatt; Nieces, Tonya (Harles) Dash, Andy Collatt, Samantha (Jason) Ripper and Amanda (BJ) Young; special cousin, Robert (Rita Mary) Jones; Aunt, Lila Woods; and numerous cousins, extended family members and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at That Church, 602 East Main, Cabot, Ark. with a visitation immediately following the service.
