Letitia Marie Trammell

Letitia Marie Trammell of Pine Bluff passed away on February 14, 2019, at the age of 72. She was born Sepetember 15, 1946 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the eldest child of the late Harrell L. and Golda Mae Torrence. Letitia graduated from Horace Mann High School in Little Rock. She then received her Bachelor's Degree from AM&N College (UAPB), and later went on to earn her Master's in Education Degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. As an educator, she taught in the Dollarway School District for 35 years. After retirement, she continued her commitment to teaching by volunteering in schools through her affiliation in Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP). She also participated in the Jefferson County Retired Teachers Association and various other organizations. She was a faithful member of Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church for 40+ years where served in a number of ministries including the Missionary Society, Mass Choir, and Esther Circle. Also she decorated the church bulletin boards and was a Vacation Bible School teacher for many years. She was survived by her husband, the love of her life for 49 years, Clincy Trammell III; son Clincly Trammell, IV, (Denise); daughter, Natasha Dunn (William); son, Rhashaun Trammell (Zuri); granddaughters Najallah and Najaah Johnson; grandsons Xavier, Adrian, Victor and Aaron; sisters Sylvia Johnson and Nancy Carmicheal and brother, Timothy Torrence and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Harrell L. Torrence Jr. and her sister, Lena Faye Holland. Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2019 from 6:00-7:00PM at Henson Holcomb Mortuary in Pine Bluff. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday February 19, 2019 at Eighth Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, Pine Bluff, Arkansas with Reverend Kirby Gulley officiating. Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.
