Gordon Cupp

Gordon Cupp, 73, of Russellville, died Friday, January 18, 2019 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. The son of Elvus and Elizabeth Gene Higgs Cupp, he was born July 14, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. He was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College and The University of Arkansas. He married Beverly Robberson on December 28, 1970 in Caulksville, Arkansas. He was a retired teacher at Crossett High School, and after retirement he enjoyed working at Lowe's Home Improvement in Russellville. He was a member of Russellville First Assembly of God. Gordon enjoyed antiquing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Susan Farque. Gordon is survived by his wife, Beverly Cupp of Russellville; three sons, Scott Cupp (Sarah) of Russellville; Mark Cupp (Molly) of Benton; Brian Cupp (Tiffany) of Conway; eight grandchildren Austin of Russellville; Taylor, Myka, Trista, all of Benton; Alaina, Trenton, Tyler and Brooks, all of Conway; and one brother, Allan Cupp (Carolyn) of Clifton Park, N.Y. The funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Russellville First Assembly of God. Rev. Ronnie Morris and Rev. Mike Norberg will officiate. Burial will be at Moore Cemetery in Paris, Ark., by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
