JoAnn Hammett Hancock, 83, passed away on May 19, 2019. She was born to Lula Needham Hammett and Reed Hammett on March 6, 1936, in Formosa, Arkansas. JoAnn graduated from Clinton High School. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Macel Williams, and her brother, Reed Hammett Jr. and is survived by her sister, DeLane Story of Formosa. She is also survived by her husband, E.B. (Buddy) Hancock of Hot Springs Village, daughters, Melanie Gibson, Kim Wiedower (Paul) of Little Rock, sons, Kendall Hancock (Shelley) of Springfield, Mo. and John McClure of Denver, Colo., grandsons, Ryan Gibson (Sarah), Blake Gibson of Little Rock and Aaron Hancock of Fort Smith, granddaughters, Ashley Hobbs (Richard) of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Candace Hancock of Springfield, Mo., and great-grandsons, James Gibson and Michael Hobbs along with a host of nephews and nieces. JoAnn was lucky enough to be married to the kindest, most patient and loving man for 48 years. They enjoyed traveling over the years, watching and supporting their grandchildren in their endeavors and being with their church family at Balboa Baptist Church in Hot Springs Village.
