Angela Hays Chronister was born on October 26, 1941 and was truly a fantastic person who was called home on October 15th. She was kind and outspoken, and everything in life she did in her own way. Loved by all, she is survived by her siblings, Susie Bierbaum (Skip Lanier) and Butch Hays; children, Shannon Loyd and Bruce Chronister; grandchildren, Jon and Christa Loyd, Jacob Loyd, Kate Loyd, Stephen and Marissa Chronister, and Hayden Chronister; and great-granddaughter, Pazleigh Chronister. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, avid bridge player, and retired from the Conway School District after 30 years of teaching in 1999. She has a Master Degree in Education from the Arkansas State Teacher's College (now UCA) where she was a T-stepper. Her favorite things in the world were the color purple, giraffes, and her family, but she was best known for her sense of humor, wise cracking attitude, and ability to trip over the most benign of inanimate objects and somehow always remain unharmed. This ability earned her the nickname of Boomboom by her grandchildren and those that loved her the most. She loved animals and children and donations to your local animal shelter, Heifer International, and Arkansas Children's Hospital in her honor would be greatly appreciated. In hopes of furthering medical research and eliminating ovarian cancer, she graciously donated her body to the Genesis Foundation. Her memorial will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Conway, Ark. on October 25th at 3 p.m.
