Sybil Annette Kryer, 80, of Hensley, Arkansas, died due to complications of Covid-19, Monday morning at Baptist Hospital LR. A retired banker most of her career, she also worked for State Poultry Commission her later working years. Ann grew up in and graduated from Prattsville, HS, then married Melvin Kryer and moved to NLR where they raised two sons, Tony and Roger, before settling and building a home in East End. She attended East Union Baptist Church in East End where she lived for most of her adult life. Born in Prattsville, she was one of six children including five girls, of Rayburn and Gladys Paxton. She is survived by her son, Roger Kryer, and three grandchildren, Jonathan Kryer, Ellen Kryer, and Mollie McCallum, and sisters, Marilyn Whitmire, Jane Stubblefield, and Martha Oswalt. She was preceded in death by Melvin Kryer, Tony Kryer, brothe, James Rayburn Paxton, and sister, Francis Mantooth. Ann loved spending time with her family and friends, puzzles and word games, and had a bright and energetic personality which touched many throughout her life. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service Saturday, January 2, at 2 p.m., at Kennerly Cemetery in Monnie Springs just past Roland. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in summertime post-covid-19. In lieu of flowers, family request all donations be made to Arsaves.uams.edu, Arkansas Stroke Foundation Program.
