James Daniel Mannis

James Daniel Mannis, 83, of DeWitt, passed away February 3, 2021. He was born July 27, 1937, in DeWitt, to Jim Mannis and Reba Hale Mannis Reaves. Daniel owned and operated his own business for many years in DeWitt, and served in the Army Reserve. He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Mannis; his parents; one brother, Lloyd Reaves; and one sister, Linda Hinton. Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Kay Gordon Mannis; his daughter, Dana Martin of White Hall; his grandson, Stephen Martin of Memphis, Tenn.; two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Callie Martin; and five sisters, Margie Smith, Lavada Rhodes, Darlene Garrett, Connie Forche, and Carolyn Mannis.
