#3 Directly east of Devil's Den, on the other side of I-540, one can experience the famous Ozark National Forest. Along the Big Piney River, a popular campground is Long Pool. Located about 12 miles north of Dover, there are 41 campsites available. Campers can swim, kayak and fish, but the serenity is the main draw to this site. The nearby Moccasin Gap Horse Trail provides foot, horse, dirt and mountain bike, and ATV trails for more adventuresome activities. Rates at Long Pool start at $7 per day, and $3 per day at the Moccasin site.
