#5 Petit Jean State Park is a local favorite not only for its scenery but for its proximity to the central Arkansas metro area. Located in Cedar Falls Township, a city-goer only has to drive about an hour and a half to enjoy this park. Petit Jean provides cabins and meeting facilities in addition to campgrounds. Petit Jean also rents camping supplies, including Rent-A-Tents and Rent-A-Tepees. Rates start at $18, or $50 for the rentable tents and tepees.
