Dizzy's was named by my friend, David Darnell Jackson, who, in our younger years, worked with me at The Faded Rose and Center Street Cafe.

"Deek" (David) and his brother Greg, along with "Big A" and "Leroy" served as my scheduling helpmates, as I had 18 hours, 3 jobs and 2 children. They, along with the Faded Rose manager and owner of Center Street Cafe, Danny Petty, kept up with where I was supposed to be and when.... my persistent disorganization earned me the unenviable nickname "The Dizzy Bitch!" Ha! Ha! Upon my graduation from college, I embarked, alone, in a variety of careers and over a decade later, decided to open a restaurant. Out of the blue, I recieved a call from David and his brothers suggesting that the restaurant be named "Dizzy Bitch's." I settled on "Dizzy's Grill" (for obvious reasons) and began the 12-year journey that has taught me so many beautiful lessons.
