Lulav
About this place
At last, Lulav has settled down and hit its stride. Executive Chef Brian Cochrane's menu continues that Mediterranean- California fusion concept, with perhaps a slightly greater shift toward the Mediterranean, particularly at dinner. Another Mediterranean accent: Dinner menu prices are not just in dollars, but also in euros. (Management says a few customers actually do pay in the European currency and they keep some in the cash register. If you come back from the South of France with a few euros jingling in your pocket, you might as well spend them here, right?) The atmosphere is a little on the dark side and very cozy, with a few Sephardic accents still evident if you look for them. Most of what has survived is the color scheme, heavy into earth tones and deep golds, but with works by local artists perking up the east wall.
