Choosing a Service

At 7:30 a.m. the Holy Eucharist, Rite I, is celebrated in a simple, quiet liturgy. At 9:00 a.m., the Parish Eucharist is Rite II, with the children's choirs and music, and leads into our Christian Education offerings which follow at 10:10 a.m. The Cathedral Eucharist is at 11:15 a.m., using Rite I with full choir and ceremony. (The Summer Sunday schedule consists of a 7:30 a.m. Rite I Eucharist and a 10:00 a.m. Rite II Eucharist.) At 5:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings (year round), our simple Eucharistic celebration in the North Transept will include new liturgies from those authorized for trial use, which celebrate the Holy Eucharist with inclusive language. Thus on a Sunday a very wide range of services will offer to God praise in many ways and forms, and offer to us many ways and forms to offer our prayers and praise.

The weekday services continue with daily Morning Prayer at 8:30 (the Holy Eucharist is celebrated on a saint's Feast Day.) On Wednesday the 7:15 a.m. liturgy is Rite II, with breakfast following. The Wednesday afternoon service of communion and healing (Unction) is celebrated at 5:00 p.m. The first Wednesday of the month is a 12-Step Eucharist. These are beautiful services in Pierce Chapel. On Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. a simple celebration, Rite I, is offered there, also.
