Russellville took 49-37 victory against the Beebe Lady Badgers in the first round of the Heavenly Hoops Tournament at Mount St. Mary in Little Rock on Monday. The Lady Cyclones made six field goals after leading 28-24 with 5:10 left in the third quarter -- after hitting just four in the first quarter and half -- and hit their free throws down the stretch to ice the victory. “I think both teams were a little off to start the game,” Russellville Coach Steve Wiedower said.

But to say they were in control would be a misrepresentation of their 4A-South Region game Thursday at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock. “Gosh almighty we did everything we could to lose this game,” Star City Coach Joshua Brown said.
