If you’re like me, sometimes you purchase a product that looks great in theory, but is often more trouble than it’s worth. The folks at Blue Bell recently debuted a limitededition flavor, Red Velvet Cake, which is vanilla ice cream with pieces of red velvet cake and a swirl of cream cheese. Luden’s is an iconic company that’s famous for its line of throat drops. The company was founded in 1879 by William H. Luden, a school dropout and apprentice candy maker who started the company in his father’s former jeweler shop. I have memories of enjoying Luden’s drops as a child, whether I needed a throat drop or not.
