Bridal Announcements

Announcements for Northwest Profiles in our Northwest edition or for our partner publications, the Northwest Arkansas Times and Benton County Daily Record, are subject to different requirements. Click here for details on Northwest announcements.)

The Democrat-Gazette welcomes announcements of engagements, weddings and anniversaries of 50 years or more. Statewide and Central Arkansas announcements are published in the High Profile section on Sundays on a space-available basis.
Because space is limited, only announcements of the engagement, wedding or anniversary of an Arkansas resident or those with family in Arkansas will be accepted. You can submit these announcements through one of our interactive forms listed below.
We accept announcements electronically only through these online forms, not through general e-mail. We also offer PDF versions of the forms that you can download, print out, fill in and send by snail mail if you prefer.
Publication of these announcements is a free service to our readers, subject to the material meeting the deadlines and qualities described below, as well as to the judgment of the Democrat-Gazette. Comments should be mailed to the Bridal Editor.

Please note: When filling out these forms, you must include the name, mailing address and a daytime telephone number of the person submitting the form for verification. Items with a check are required for the announcement to be published. Please use the formal title "Dr." only when referring to a physician. Deadlines and photographs

1. ENGAGEMENTS: Announcements are generally published six weeks before the wedding. Information must be submitted at least eight weeks before the wedding date. Engagement announcements are published without photographs.

2. WEDDINGS: Announcements must be submitted at least 10 days before the wedding date. Announcements submitted more than two weeks after the wedding are not published. Mail photographs separately to arrive at least 10 days before the wedding to:

A black-and-white glossy photo of professional quality, at least 5 inches by 7 inches, is preferred. A glossy color photo may be accepted, but reproduction quality cannot be guaranteed. Snapshots, soft-focus or self-developing pictures are not accepted. The paper prefers that only the bride be in the photograph. The photo should be a vertical waist-up shot or a close-up. A full-length photo will not be accepted.
A photo license agreement must be completed and signed before publication of any photograph. Click here for a printable PDF version of the agreement to be mailed with the photograph.
Please write the bride's married and maiden names and address on the back of the photograph. To have a photo returned, include a stamped, self-addressed envelope. The photo may also be picked up at the Bridal Editor's desk after publication. Photos will be kept on file 90 days.
Digital images are also acceptable. They must be jpeg, at least 200 dots per inch and the file size should be 7.5 to 8 megabytes. Images can be sent in on a disc or by email to: weddings@arkansasonline.com

3. ANNIVERSARIES: Announcements must be submitted at least two weeks before publication. Mail photographs separately to arrive at least two weeks before publication to:

A recent photo of the couple should be a black-and-white glossy photo of professional quality, at least 5 inches by 7 inches. Faces of the couple should be close together vertically and horizontally. A glossy color photo may be accepted, but reproduction quality cannot be guaranteed. Snapshots, soft-focus or self-developing pictures are not accepted.
