Sweatpants ban fails in Arkansas Legislature February 19, 2016 at 2:27 p.m.

No wonder people are so cynical about our government - with all the problems facing our state, they are wasting time and money because they are worried about dressing "appropriately" ?!? How did this even make it on the the floor for a vote? I hope voters take note of whoever submitted and moved this bill forward - when up for re-election they need to be removed.

Powerball craze stoked lottery's best month ever February 11, 2016 at 1:37 p.m.

The Lottery as a fund raiser for Scholarships is a farce Highest sales ever and still only 23% of that money will go to scholarships. Who would support a charity that only spends 23% of the money raised on "the cause" it proclaims to support? Put a team of investigative reporters on this issue - WHERE IS THE MONEY GOING? WHO"S REALLY BENEFITING FROM THE ARKANSAS LOTTERY? It is obvious it is not the college students.

Judge: No bail for 2 teens accused of killing Little Rock mother February 1, 2016 at 2:03 p.m.

It appears "black lives matter" only when it's a Caucasian who commits the crime. Where is Al and Reggie and all the other race haters when it's two young black men killing a mother with a toddler in her arms!?!
Re guns and gun control -- statistics show these young men very likely did not buy their weapons at a gun shop or gun show - ie legal channels.

$500 million Powerball jackpot draws surge in lottery sales January 6, 2016 at 4:26 p.m.

don't usually play the Lottery but what the heck, it's low risk high reward fun when the jackpot's this high -- maybe tomorrow when my boss is driving my crazy I'll be able to stop saying my mantra "paycheck benefits paycheck benefits paycheck benefits" and quit my job.

FBI: San Bernardino killers were 'radicalized,' took part in target practice December 7, 2015 at 4:31 p.m.

If our JV Leader gets out his golden pen, your won't be able to buy ammo in quantities >6 bullets per month, buy silhouette targets, and he'll close down the gun ranges because he thinks the root of the problem is guns.

Utah judge reverses order to take baby from lesbian couple November 13, 2015 at 4:28 p.m.

Although I disagreed with the original order to remove the child from the ladies' home and the judge's reasoning was simply wrong, it's scary to think our Court System appears to be ruled by the Court of Public Opinion vs the Rule of Law.

S.C. teen's arrest draws inquiry October 28, 2015 at 9:22 a.m.

Agree 85% with Testinggonetwothree - regardless of the color of skin, very few youth seem to have any respect for authority, then deny responsibility for their actions when there are consequences. The cop was wrong, the girl should NOT have been thrown to the floor but knowing how flimsy those student desks are, it's likely the initial move was to pull her from the chair and it flipped over. Having dealt myself with obnoxious "whatja gonna do bout it" attitudes from kids, my response would have been to hand cuff her if possible, and drag the chair with her in it out of the room.
The girl broke the rules and got caught. Everyone needs to stop blaming everyone else for the consequences of their own actions. Perhaps we need to go back to the days of being put in Stocks in the public square.

Obama praises police, urges more trust October 28, 2015 at 8:53 a.m.

These are the statements that should have been spoken from the White House well over a year ago. His next step will be to invite a Police Officer to the White House for a beer.

Clinton, GOP clash in day on Benghazi October 23, 2015 at 9:29 a.m.

Unfortunately unable to watch all of the the hearing but the clips I watched were zero surprise - Cummings will ALWAYS defend a fellow Democrat. The Clintons ALWAYS have and ALWAYS will walk the tight-rope of linguistics and technicalities - eg "Steven's never asked the Embassy be CLOSED" More security, reorganizing location, more security - that's not asking it be "closed" Hopefully her progression to POTUS will be stopped by a PR campaign starting with her radical college days, her being kicked off the Watergate investigations as a lawyer, to the Clintons history in Arkansas, to the various questionable activities while First Lady, to the questionable activities associated with the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Machine are masters of deceit and obfuscation.

Planned Parenthood to no longer accept payment in fetal tissue programs October 13, 2015 at 4:34 p.m.

Haven't followed all the details, but would like to know how much profit the Buyers' are making assuming they are re-selling that tissue to legitimate accredited research institutes. Stem Cells is one of the waves of the medical future that will save lives but I believe other sources of stem cell are available to science.
