JOHN BRUMMETT: With their hair afire February 11, 2016 at 9:14 a.m.

You almost want to feel sad about Hilary but then when you realize all the $$$$ she has made for just being a first lady you have to pull back on that emotion. She is just not presidential timber and it shows time and time again. She has the name and the gender and that is about it. The server business in her home is just one example of a serious lack of good judgment. When Obama and his bunch called Bill a racist in 2008 if she would have responded like Donald Trump instead of playing political correct she would be president today.
The young college women are being saddled with thousands of dollars of debt before they even get a job. Then they see many people like the Clintons and Obamas and crooks on Wall Street and the NFL are making millions off of them and then see illegals, refugees and goofballs getting a lot of aid so they want to get in line too to get the freebies.
As for Bill Clinton, this is more than sad. He had a presidency where there was no war, the debt was being paid down and for the most part the economy was fairly good and crime was being bought down . He should have left it there. This constant striving for more $$$$ and attention and power is like an addiction. Times have changed, he better take a hard look at what happened to Bill Cosby to see how times have changed.

U.S. sues after Ferguson alters agreement February 11, 2016 at 8:52 a.m.

The Justice department has become a vehicle not only to undermine the police and first responders but to plunder these communities and taxpayers for millions of $$$ for legal fees. A recent article in the Wall Street Journal has pointed out how lawyers linked to Obama and Clinton are making a mint over this practice. The DOG sues a city over its police then the cities have to spend money to defend themselves and the lawyers make millions. In the meantime, criminals including illegal criminals are walking free or provided safe harbor in certain communities. What a racket, then the media is baffled why Trump and Sanders are so popular.

WALLY HALL: Scandals galore mar NCAA landscape February 11, 2016 at 8:44 a.m.

Good points. This junk is way over the top. We need more journalist to point it out The abuse of women by players in college and professional football is disgusting. Because the NFL and the goofballs who run college football tolerate such behavior it will continue. This does say much for the character or integrity of any of these morons.
Once the player gets the taxpayer subsided scholarship and "expense money" and the coaches millions they seem think they are above everyone else including the law and human decency. They need to brought into line like the rest of population, not given favors and winks and nods. You even had this happen in out back yard this recruiting season where the UA was trying to recruit a guy from Louisiana that was facing charges for sexually assaulting a minor. What kind of business and people are these jerks?

Little Rock school takeover valid, state argues February 11, 2016 at 8:32 a.m.

Why is this case even being tried? The guess is we have another agenda, corrupt judge interfering in something he knows nothing about. While lawyers make money, the taxpayers are the losers. Federal judges for about 50 years now have run the public schools in Pulaski County into the ground and cost the taxpayers literally millions of dollars for what? A bunch of schools that need to be shuttered. What a joke. No wonder people have developed such a profound sense of distrust and disgust over the government.

PAUL GREENBERG: The war on heroes February 10, 2016 at 9:48 a.m.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. There are continuous attacks on the Founding Fathers. Jefferson, Jackson, Hamilton, Teddy and Wilson have been singled out and trashed by people in the academic world, special interests and the media. The next battle will be to remove some of these figures from the currency and other governmental assets so some goofballs can proclaim an utopian state that glorifies nothing.

County panel favors raises for employees February 10, 2016 at 9:41 a.m.

Increases in salaries and wages are a good thing if merited and earned. But the government last year declared very low inflation rates and did not give any increases to Seniors on Social Security so why are these government employees given special treatment.
Another reason people have a profound distrust of government They are told one thing to benefit the government and then the government acts to reward certain people. Not good.

High court puts on hold EPA's power-plant rules February 10, 2016 at 9:35 a.m.

Good news for consumers. This a back door attempt by Obama to increase utility rates through executive orders. He thinks he is a scientific guru that is going to cure what ails the world.

Little Rock board OKs raises for Moore, Carpenter February 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m.

Their salaries should be based upon performance not what someone in another city is making. Seniors on Social Security did not get an increase last year because of "very low" inflation per the government so why should these guys in government be treated better. Another case of government enforced income inequality.

BRUMMETT ONLINE: Not ready to hatch yet February 10, 2016 at 9:09 a.m.

So far the big money candidates in both parties have taken a beating. Voters in both parties are trying to break the cycle of big time contributors running the show. You can be that the special interests and big time contributors are holding their breath(not what they expected or paid for) and planning an all out assault to get back in their game. It appears that a few in the media are starting to catch on what is occurring because now you cannot ignore or pan it.
Sanders has never been a Democrat, Trump is more or less like a Reagan/Eisenhower type in the GOP, a newcomer without the ideology baggage who can probably take the whole thing if he stays engaged and desires it that much. The winners in this game with these candidates is the public at large. They might finally have someone, warts and all, that might do something for them and the country and not do things for the enrichment of donors. How refreshing.
