Sanders, DNC rift palpable in emails July 24, 2016 at 9:01 a.m.

Guess Hillary did not get a chance to delete these emails.

On street design, city pressing state to bend July 24, 2016 at 8:59 a.m.

A city should certainly have a say to its streets. But with that comes a responsibility to pay or finance the changes it wants. They are probably a couple of hundred bikers who would prefer bike lanes but unless they are willing to pay taxes on their bikes like others use do, they should not be given extra or preferential treatment over the people that pay the bills, we already have enough of that in DC

Clinton introduces Kaine as VP choice in Florida July 24, 2016 at 5:43 a.m.

I guess Goldman, Saks etc is now really doubling down and taking no chances since bush and cruz and Rubio were eliminated. They now only have a 50/50 chance of extending their 16 years of corruption.

Years lost; mom now 'other mother' July 24, 2016 at 5:40 a.m.

Sad. But you know there are thousands of people who get up most days and go to work and try to do the right things for their family. And it is not easy either. Why this paper chooses to feature someone like this and disregard others is disturbing.

Saban, Barkley possess presidential traits July 24, 2016 at 5:37 a.m.

The last thing we need are jocks in the WH, we are just winding up the term of a man who spent a lot of valuable time watching and talking sports and before that we had a reformed drunk, whose business friends made a ton of money for him by fleecing the taxpayers of Arlington, Texas. So let them stick to their 'expertise' and keep living off the government payroll.

Clinton-Kaine debuts in Florida July 24, 2016 at 5:30 a.m.

Well citizen Kaine looks good on the surface. But his acceptance of money from Wall Street puts him on the same level as Hillary. I guess Goldman Saks etc are now doubling down since Cruz and bush chances are gone. They now only have a 50% chance to continue their 16 year control over the WH

Sanders, DNC rift palpable in emails July 24, 2016 at 5:24 a.m.

How sordid can you get?? Everyone with an IQ of over 4 knew Hillary took the low road on the email situation but this smacks of a very dark side. Something badly wrong has occurred within the Democratic party, whether it is the lust for money or the Obama/ Clinton influence, this is not a good trend. Hopefully they will not be rewarded for this type of behavor

Bombing kills 81 attending Kabul protest July 24, 2016 at 5:17 a.m.

The killings continue. Obama promised to end the wars successfully. This is not how you do it. He has no clue. He and bush have been the worst presidents since the republic was founded.

Clinton chooses Virginia's Kaine July 23, 2016 at 9:09 a.m.

Seems like a benign choice. His connections to and thrist for Wall Street$$$ might affect the Bernie supporters and will affect the perception that Goldman, Saks etc. once again pulling the strings at the WH.
Northern Virinia has become a haven and sanctuary for the well paid government employees, lobbyists -domestic and foreign-who depend upon the government for their living and wealth. They do not live in DC per se because of the awful crime and are,in fact, racists to the core.

Arkansas lawmaker takes on 'road gators' July 23, 2016 at 8:51 a.m.

This is good news to see a lawmaker address an issue that is a problem that affects drivers daily. As a moderately heavy user of the Interstates this is something that is out of control. Sometimes is like playing bumper cars with all the debris scattered. Of course, one of the issues is the cheap, poorly made Chinese (and other country) tires that look good but wear out quickly. The other issue is proper policing in terms of issuing fines and driver license supensions to keeping the highways clean. All the neighboring states try to keep their highways and byways clean, Arkansas is very, remiss on this problem. There can be a simple fix if someone would push and organize it.
